Circuitrijden of zelfs amateur racen is een geweldige belevenis. Snelheid, spanning en gezonde rivaliteit zijn gegarandeerd.
Niet iedereen heeft het budget om een (relatief) nieuwe motor hiervoor aan te schaffen. Het rijden op een wat oudere motor geeft ook veel plezier en de kosten zijn lager. Wel mis je dan een aantal functionaliteiten die de nieuwste motoren wel hebben, zoals Traction Control, Wheelie Control en Launchcontrol om een aantal zaken te noemen.
Vooral met de Traction Control wordt de veiligheid flink verhoogd, duidelijk minder kans op een highsider bij het uitkomen van de bochten. Maar ook de Launchcontrol en Wheelie Control leveren een flinke bijdrage aan een snellere rondetijd. En wie wil dat nu niet op het circuit. Natuurlijk de lol en spanning staat op nummer 1, maar je gaat toch rondetijden vergelijken en proberen te verbeteren.
Met de Gripone Traction Control units komen deze functionaliteiten ook binnen het bereik voor de mensen die met een wat oudere motor op het circuit rijden.
Gripone S3 Traction Control Unit met o.a Launch control en Pit Limiter
De S3 is de vierde generatie traction control van GRIPone. Het systeem beschikt over verschillende functies zoals als traction control, anti wheelie control, launch control, pit limiter (model specifiek) en quickshifter (model specifiek).
Dankzij de 3D technologie en het inertial platform (IMU), kan de GRIPone S3 de hellingshoek van de motor bepalen, de snelheid en acceleratie meten om zo de gevoeligheid van de Traction Control aan te passen. Het is zelfs mogelijk om een datalogger (DAM) aan te sluiten op het systeem.
GRIPone S3 is ontworpen voor gebruik op het circuit. De laatste technologieën nu beschikbaar voor elke moderne sportmotor.
De kit bevat alles wat je nodig hebt om het systeem te installeren op je motor. Al deze kits zijn plug and play met een kabelset voor de originele connectoren. IMU en DAM zijn niet inbegrepen in de kit, maar zijn beschikbaar als optionele accessoires Houdt er rekening mee dat de beugels (sensor TC) die meegeleverd worden niet plug & play zijn.

TRACTION CONTROL. The most important function of GRIPONE S3 is the control of traction. By the speed sensors the system check the slip of rear tyre and reduce the power when it is too much (or dangerous). It is based on 3D-INTELLIGENCE algorithm. The user can adjust the control strategy in many different way because the system is very flexible. The user can start from a solid base with our base map available online.
ANTI WHEELIE. GRIPONE S3 allows adjustment of the anti wheelie separately from the traction control. This avoid all phantom cuts made by the traction control when the bike wheelie. In addition, the new Pulse Wave wheelie control ensures fast intervention and a gradual rapprochement of the wheel asphalt. With GRIPON S3 you will not suffer anymore about the typical on/of feeling of other systems.
LAUNCH CONTROL. Using a sophisticated algorithm, GRIPONE S3 help the starting procedure. No button for activation: whenever the bike is left idle for more than 5 sec the launch control is automatically activated. During the launch, GRIPONE S3 will keep under control the wheelie and /or the sliding of rear tyre. The strategy will switch off automatically over a certain speed (programmable by software)
QUICK SHIFTER. (available only for some bikes) . GRIPONE S3 now includes a strategy to be a quick shifter. After you buy the kit GRIPONE S3, you have just to add a gear shift sensor (GSensor) to have a full quick shifter from your traction control unit. Our strategy works counting the firing so it is auto adaptive with the engine revolutions. Higher are the revolutions and faster will be the upshift. The Sensor is a real load cell and it can works in compression or tension. The sensor is fully adjustable and can be adapted to be very sensitive or hard.
AUTO CORRECTOR. From now (firmware version 0037) GRIPONE S3 comes with a new strategy of self correction of the traction control. Even if the user loads a map with a sensitivity not suited to His riding style, the system will be incendio correct yourself. PID CONTROLLER. GRIPONE S3 is the only stand alone traction control system with a real PID controller (Proportional, Integrative, Derivative). The PID controller can make the system extremely fast, yet stable, anticipating the sudden loss of traction and stabilizing the bike in the undulations.

-Traction control: The system checks how much the rear tyre is sliding, by using the speed sensors. When the system notices that the tyre is sliding too much or it getting dangerous, the power will be reduced. This is based on GripOne all new 3D-Intelligence. This means that the system is calculating the ideal amount of sliding, all by itself and in every situation. Every 0.005 seconds the data, coming from the IMU (not included), gets checked. The system then updates the sensitivity in real-time. The traction control can be adjusted in many ways and the user can start from a solid base map.
-Anti-wheelie: To make sure the front wheel stays in touch with the asphalt, GripOne equipped the S4 system with anti-wheelie. The anti-wheelie is separately adjustable from the traction control, so you can adjust the anti-wheelie without changing the traction control. Anti-wheelie systems often give you an on/off feeling, which makes the bike act weird. To get rid of this feeling, GripOne developed Pulse Wave. This means that the system is interventing really quick, but gradually puts the front wheel back on the asphalt.
-Launch control: Quick starts become easy through the sophisticated algorithm of the GripOne S4. The S4 automatically activates the launch control when the bike is staionary for 5 seconds in a row, which means that you no longer have to press a button to activate the system. When starting, the system makes sure the front wheel stays on the track and the rear wheel doesn not spin. Just like the system automatically actives, it also stops itself on the programmable speed. The launch control of the GripOne S4 is not a rev-limiter
